For my happiness project this month I’m focusing on love. How perfect and romantic right? Not only is February the month of Valentine’s Day but it is also my 3 year anniversary with the BF. It’s today in fact. Look at us years ago….

….so young and in love.
Thinking of resolutions for this month has been tough, everything I can think of seems so general and archetypal that it’s hard to come up with specific things to measure myself on each day. I need your help. I’m going to share my general ideas and hopefully you all will be able to suggest some more specific daily practices. Sound like a plan?
Here you go:
- Love myself.
- Love my enemies (not that I have actual enemies but you know, the things that you just dislike, I want to get over those things.)
- Be a better partner. This one should be easy to come up with some daily goals for.
Now friends, tell me what you think, I can’t wait to hear what you all have to say.

Your “young and in love” line reminded me of one of my favorite songs I haven’t listened to for awhile – thanks, I’m now listening to it right this moment.
My idea is pretty general and maybe lame but for #1 I say to take some time each day to do whatever you want for 30 min. or so – watch a tv show, read a book ect.

Congratulations, Kristiina! What a perfect month to be having an anniversary! I like Ashley’s idea for #1 – it sounds so simple in theory, and yet I find myself not putting it into practice enough. My advice for #2 may be more geared towards rejection, but it may also help with getting over the things you dislike/that get to you: I’ve started a practice of asking myself how much a particular situation will matter 1 week, 1 month or 1 year from now. Looking at the bigger picture helps tends to give me perspective. Not sure, if that’s helpful…

Happy Anniversary!!! I think a really great way to demonstrate that you love yourself is to simply hug yourself every single day.
